Updated: Jul 4

An A La Carte of links to things I came across in the last week that I found interesting.

On this week's roundup of links I thought I would focus on the theme of perseverance as we all need a little encouragement and inspiration from time to time.

Persevering After A Fall

This video is a great example of why you should never give up and always give it your all even in the face of failure and mistakes.

Suffering and Success in the Life of Adoniram Judson: The Cost of Bringing Christ to Burma

The story of missionary Adoniram Judson is one you must hear. This biographical message from John Piper conveys the great cost this missionary paid and the difference he made in the lives of so many. His great perseverance through his many trials is an amazing story.

Movies That Will Motivate You To Persevere

For some reason, many people don't like to admit they get inspired and motivated to accomplish great things from movies but I'll admit that taking the time to sit on the couch and watch a great inspirational movie will get me off the couch to do some big things. Here is a list of movies that I thought were pretty good for this sort of thing. There are a couple I would have left off and a couple I might have added but overall it's pretty good.

Persevering By The Strength Of The Lord

Throughout Scripture, there is a theme of God's people overcoming great odds through the strength of the Lord. Casting Crowns has a great song about that.

The story of Joni Eareckson Tada and how she dealt with becoming a paraplegic as a teenager and the things she has accomplished. This book is only the beginning of her story as she is still doing great things many decades later.
