An A La Carte of links to things I came across in the last week that I found interesting.
Getting/Staying Fit In My Late 40's
I have discovered that the older I get the harder it is to get and stay fit. This week I came across a couple great YouTube channels specifically focused on helping men over 40 get fit. I really enjoyed some of the simple exercises they demonstrate to do at home without a bunch of expensive equipment. SixPackAbs.com 40+ was the first one I came across and got a ton out of, the other was Live Anabolic and again some great tips for older men.
The New Cybertruck Isn't Exactly What I Thought It Would Be
The windows weren't supposed to break during the demonstration but I don't think that's what most people were talking about when Tesla revealed their new "Cybertruck." This thing just doesn't have an appealing design in my opinion but i'm sure it's just a first step. Anyway, you can see the design and a funny video of the windows breaking here - https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/22/cars/tesla-cybertruck-electric-pickup-truck
How Far Can You Take Origami?
I always thought I made a pretty good paper airplane but after watching this I think my origami level is about a 1 out of 11. Pretty amazing how you can take any passion to its uttermost limits.
Can food be grown in a way that is safe for us and the planet on a large scale? There are many debates happening in the organic versus conventional farming world and this article raises some interesting points in bringing light to some of the problems and solutions.
If you've never read this 1973 book from Murray N. Rothbard this a link where you can download the free PDF or even the AudioBook if you would rather listen to it. There are many interesting ideas in this book that spark a lot of thought. I think most people agree that major changes need to be made in government even if we can't agree on what those changes should be.
It's that time of the year once again and while we should certainly take the time on this special day to give thanks for all the blessings in our lives it can also be a day of fun as we gather together with friends and family.
This is the fifth in the series of books on the 5 Solas. If you want to know more about what the Bible teaches on the idea that all glory belongs to God alone than this book is for you. However, This Sola for most seems to be the easiest to gather from scripture without further reading. The other 4 Solas may be worth a deeper dive also so check out Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Christ Alone, and God's Word Alone.
