A Garden Requires Patient Labor And Attention

“A garden requires patient labor and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions. They thrive because someone expended effort on them.” — Liberty Hyde Bailey

How true it is that the garden requires much of our attention and labor, but I have experienced the great reward of a garden many times. To have my hands in the dirt, to care for the plants by guarding them from weeds and insects, to feed it and watch over it until the time of harvest, to pick that tomato and taste of your efforts. Yes, a great payment for our efforts indeed!
